Revive Concert 2/14
It was amazing...
Here's just a short summary of the night...
Soo... I was pretty much asked by the band to write on here (when I wrote this... I was on The Revivers!) about tonight! I hope you're ready to read for awhile... because, sooo... much happened!
Dinner:
Well, we drove 2 hours to get there. It was well worth it! And, when we got there, we prayed. (We got to eat dinner with the band and select church volunteers!) And, we went in line to get something to eat. And, we went into the room where we ate and we were looking for a place to sit. Rich invited us to sit in front of him. Sooo.. we did. And, we talked a lot! Then he took Emily's phone and he asked who a lot of people were and he came across one of my friends' number and he asks who it is and Emily says, "It's Chelsie's..." and I added "Friend!" And, he calls him and talks about me and everything. And then he says, "Meet Chelsie at the monkey bars during lunch and bring her some flowers and some candy!" Oh my, that's embarrassing! And then, he calls my mom. And, of course, he calls her mum! And they talk. And he's like, "Chelsie says she refuses to clean her room. Oh, sorry Chelsie, your gonna get a butt woopen when you get home!" Haha, so, he talked to her for awhile. And, then when they hang up he's like, "Your mum's really nice!" And, so, we talked a lot during the dinner! It was awesome!
Soundcheck:
Haha, it was hilarious. At some points... it kinda hurt my ears but, I lived! And, when Ty did his soundcheck... he was like saying all of these random things. And, he says, "Look at these beatiful ladies down in front!" (Yeah, we were in the first row!) So, it was fun. I smiled at Ty and he slowly smile back at me! I loved getting to watch soundcheck! It was AMAZING!
The Concert:
The concert was awesome! I found myself singing to every song! They sang some new songs. One of them was brand, BRAND new! Rich said at the dinner that it was going to be on the next album! It was AWESOME! They wanted us to come closer so they wouldn't feel so "lonely!" So, we went up next to the stage! Still front row and rocked out! Everytime Ty looked at me (we were in front of him!) I would smile at him and he would smile back! I took a lot of pictures! I kept my flash off so I wouldn't blind the band! And, during one song, Ty and Dave got down. Dave went into the crowd and Ty went in front of us. It was hilarious! He played his guitar in front of us. (According to him, we were really rocking!) Haha, it was awesome! I loved it!
In between the concert and the M&G a little bit went on! I went to the bathroom and when I came out we were standing there while McKenzie was talking to her mom and I heard a door open and I saw the band walk out! They all started talking to us. Ty said to me, "Thanks for rocking out with me up there!" And, Rich gave me a high five and then Dave talked to McKenzie's mom! So, it was awesome!
Meet and Greet:
One word... AWESOME! I bought a shirt, another poster, and two buttons! And, I went through the line and they all signed my poster. Ty was first. He wrote a lot on mine! And he was like, "Thanks for rocking out with me! You were rocking a lot!" And, we talked for awhile. Then Dave signed. We talked a lot. He asked if I had a Valentine. And, I say no and then Rich jumped in and talked about how he talked to Kevin and how I'm supposed to meet him at the monkey bars. And Ty says, "Are you gonna hold hands?" I said, "Ummm... no!" And, so, I know my face turned as red as a cherry! So, we talked and then I forgot that they hadn't signed my shirt once I went through the first time. So, McKenzie went to tell Mike and Mike comes over to sign it. He thought that he was the only one who hadn't signed it. So, he told me to go back over there. And, he went back and told Rich and he told me to go there. And, after he signed it, he pushed me little by little in front of Dave. He was talking to someone, too! I felt horrible for getting in front of him. And, while Dave signed, Ty did too! And, we talked for a little bit after that. And then it was time to leave. :(
This night was one of the best nights EVER! It was my second time at a Revive concert! (But, the other time was a Third Day and NEEDTOBREATHE concert!)
Oh, and I uploaded a couple of pictures! I took 100 but I am not putting them all on here!
Can't wait to see them again March 5th!
OMG, (There's your OMG, Dave!) this concert was AWESOME!
Ooh.. and about the OMG above. We had a talk about OMG-ing. Dave says, "When you get home, you need to write on the Reviver's site and be like, 'OMG... it was awesome'" And Rich said something and we discussed what it meant and Dave and Rich wer like, "Oh my gosh..." And, Mike says, "But for a Christian, it would be something like, 'Oh My Goodness..'" And Dave confesses... "It took me like, 2 weeks to figure out what 'OMG' meant!" So, it was fun!
